Captain's log, day 3

If the last two were bad, Maths was probably the worst one.

I think passing it would be a nice blessing for me.

>_<

Gah.

Why is it that, everytime after an examination, everyone just can't sit still in the hall?

I mean, can't they just sit still for 5 more miserable minutes and let the teachers count the papers in peace? Why must people ask how they did, what answers they got for question 1-10. I don't mind a little question here and there, which keeps the volume down, but the constant chattering sure annoys me. The teachers are forced to issue annoucements of impending doom, threaten students, beg and cry, but most students don't care. Heck, the teacher can strip on the stage but the students will continue to talk.

And the teachers don't fare much better anyway. There are ways to get students to shut up, but threatening to hold them back isn't one of the best solutions out there. Everyone wants to go home, and holding people back is about as good as trying to start a riot.

Everyone should just shut up.

Seesh...

So, the confederations cup is finally over, with Brazil winning 4-1.

I wonder, what's the purpose of such a tournment at times. Players are dead tired from their club matches, and are now forced to play in such tournments. Instead, with the World Cup next year, I think they should just rest nicely, so that they can play the new season without much fatigue. And that isn't the only problem. Some teams have the first round of the Champion's League coming up, which starts on the 12th of july.

Which means they have barely 1 week of holiday before the season starts for them again.

Heck, even we students get 4 weeks of break, and they barely get 1 week. Sure, they are working, but don't career peeps get at least 2 weeks of holiday each year?

Holidays are an important part of everyone, because it gives them time to relax after a stressful year. With the world moving so fast these days, having just a few days to relax, stop and enjoy the sights is a luxery. This is even more so for sports people, because of the fact that they train themselves physically and mentally almost everyday.

Moreover, such events will only lead to injuries, sometimes even life threatening, or ones which could end careers. If that's the case, then the player will be at a loss, because he had to end his career early due the fact that he was representing his country, when he should be at home resting.

However, players cannot afford to stay out of such competitions. One good example of a person who will know this by now will be Ronaldo. He has requested to be left out of the Confederations Cup, allowing Adriano to replace him. Guess what? Adriano performed so well, everyone was going "Ronaldo who?" More over, the international stage is where some stars are born, and made famous. Wayne Rooney was the main buy last season after his performance in Euro 2004. If he didn't appear in Euro 2004, he could still be in Everton, or be at a club that isn't as famous as Manchester United.

Pros and cons of International Football? Heh.

Site news: I've changed the layout a bit. Added a banner which I did in like 15 minutes. It's sucky, I know, since I don't have much materials to work with. If you want to send me a banner, talk to me on MSN. And oh, it's from AMG. =D
